📸 Pictures… and the Joy of Chasing Life’s Moments

Cam is bringing his kids over on Tuesday, and I can’t even tell you how excited I am to see my youngest grandkids again! 💕 Of course, Cam’s expecting me to snap pictures — that’s just what Grandma does.

I’ve documented most of my other grandkids’ lives in pictures, but these little ones have been gone a couple of years, so my camera’s been resting (other than the occasional birthday 🎉). Why, you ask? Well, I go through phases. My attention span is about as long as a soap bubble — pop, and I’m off to the next thing! 😄

That short attention span is also why you get a short story from me every day instead of a novel update. 📚 My last novel took over a year because I stalled halfway through. But hey, I circled back and finished it! And yes, I do plan to wrap up the next one — I can’t leave poor Jason dangling out there without his happy ending, can I?

Back to the pictures.

I can’t post the grandkids’ photos on Facebook — their mama made it clear: no social media, please. 🙅‍♀️ And I completely respect that. But I’ve got one of those digital frames that runs a slideshow, and you can bet those sweet faces will be popping up there soon. If you want to see them, come on over — I’ll even let you bring the snacks! 🍿

In the meantime, Monday can’t come soon enough because we’re picking up our fifth wheel. 🚐 My “I want it and I want it now” mode has officially kicked in, and thank goodness for my patient husband, Rick, for talking me down when I start bouncing off the walls. 🥰

To keep myself busy, we’re heading to the park today. 🌳 I’m bringing my camera to shake off the rust and maybe capture a few fun shots — no permission needed from the bears’ mama to post those! 🐻 Spring flowers are popping up everywhere 🌸, the bears are just waking up from hibernation, and while we’ve spotted deer before, I usually see more of them… well, you know, along the roadside. 🦌💛

The park isn’t fully open yet, but Rick knows all the best hidden spots. And honestly? I never get tired of that place — the fresh air, the sound of birds, and the simple joy of being out in nature. 🌿

So, for now, I’ll grab my camera, head to the park, and soak up the moment — just me, Rick, and the promise of a beautiful day. ☀️📷❤️
